Coursera Course: Global Environmental Management

Over the course of three weeks I followed an online course with the title "Global Environmental Management" offered by the Technical University Denmark.

The topics that were discussed during this course included global living trends and their impact on living conditions as well as the environment; various sustainable developments, demography, urbanization, and climate change; different types of management systems and how they are implemented depending on factors such as culture, history, and physical layout of a country; how utilities (general water supply, waste water systems, and solid waste) are being managed as well as pollution sources; types of environmental technologies that are currently in place and how these can be carried out in an environmentally friendly way.

I found this course very interesting and informative as well as eye opening in some aspects. To me it was fascinating to get an introduction to how different countries are dealing with the same issues they are facing and which main factors are serving as a base for decisions.
